A Southern Resident Killer Whale (SRKW) nicknamed Tahlequah or J35, gave birth to a robust and lively calf on September 4, 2020. These whales also called as Orca, stay off the coast of Pacific Northwest, near Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. Two years ago, this whale’s calf had died soon after birth and she carried her dead calf for over 1,000 miles for 17 days as ‘tour of grief’.
